Nuruddin Ushawu is an award-winning writer of poetry and fiction. He was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and raised in the United States. His writing has been published in literary journals and magazines around the world, including The Paris Review, TriQuarterly, The Threepenny Review and The Minnesota Review. He is the author of two collections of poetry: Mijangga: Selected Poems (2006) and Penumbra: Selected Poems (2008)
He is also the author of four books of fiction:The Book of All Hours (2009), The Arsonist (2010), The House on Garuda Street (2011) and A Map of Home (forthcoming 2012).
